Tyler Perry and Lionsgate Face $77M Sexual Assault Lawsuit on Christmas Day from ‘A Madea Halloween’ Actor; Perry’s Lawyer Calls It a ‘Failed Attempt at Money

A $77 million lawsuit accusing Tyler Perry of sexual assault and battery, brought by the same attorney who filed a similar case earlier this year, is being dismissed by Perry’s legal team as just another attempt to secure a payout, according to the high-profile lawyer representing the “Madea” star.

“After an earlier case against Mr. Perry didn’t succeed, this same attorney has now launched a claim dating back over a decade, which we expect will also fail,” said Alex Spiro, commenting on Mario Rodriguez’s jury-trial-seeking lawsuit against Perry and Lionsgate, the distributor of Boo! A Madea Halloween.
